This exhibition highlights the little-known role of the French Navy in the Second World War.
It traces its hesitations in the months following the Armistice of 1940, and then the gradual rebuilding of its forces. It bears witness to the support it gave to the landings and the Liberation of the pockets, and takes stock of the damage suffered by the arsenals and military ports.
