As children, we all fell many times before we knew how to walk. As we've grown up, we've forgotten just how much failure helps to build us up, so that we're better able to succeed later on. This interactive contemporary fable, written by Marjorie Fabre, reconciles us with our failures. It encourages us to look at them with tenderness and interest, to learn to love them and to live them as tools for progress. The minimalist staging by Jonathan Salmon, La Coupe d'Or's new associate artist, makes us love our qualities as well as our weaknesses, which turn out to be an astonishing resource. Armed with these lessons, like invincible losers, F.A.I.L. invites us to set out once again to conquer everything we still have to achieve. To course or not to course?
